Hi!
I'm Susan Bintliff and my husband's name is Glen. We are the founders of the Pinelands Sheltie Community.
We currently live with eight shelties. That is about three or four over what my husband felt was ideal...oh well, he has adjusted by building them their own wing complete with their own kitchen and bathing sink. Thanks Glen!
Our home borders an area called "The Pine Barrens" in southern New Jersey. It is a unique ecological area that has lakes and sandy trails amongst dense scrub pine trees. This area is often referred to as "The Pinelands".
In most of our spare time, Glen and I share the thrill of competing our dogs in agility. We also compete our dogs in herding and conformation.
In January of 2013, Glen and I together with our friend, Diane Harrington, opened Pinelands Dog Training Center four miles from our home. We have a large scale dog training school with 12 instructors offering classes in Agility, Obedience, Rally, Nosework, Show Handling and puppy classes.
